Event technology in medicine
epicto is expanding its focus on events in the healthcare market and in particular to medical conferences and continuing medical education events. This business entity "Event Technology in Medicine" was founded and as a new partner the healthcare specialist Matthias Riecker was brought on board.
Class lectures in medicine have a long tradition and are still the most popular training medium. More than 250,000 medical events take place each year in Germany, with a clear trend towards greater technical specialization, better interactivity and deepening, integrated learning and communication solutions. Thus, it's not enough anymore to provide only the most modern technology available - to meet these new demands requires specific skills and competence.
The new partner Matthias Riecker is an accomplished professional and has worked successfully over 25 years in the field of medical communication and medical education. In recent years he has directed, among other things, along with epicto GmbH, two highly complex live satellite broadcasts, such as the symposium on the occasion of the awarding of the Nobel Prize for Medicine to Professor zur Hausen of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg.
